Leslie Gotts Dip. Cdt-
Les continued his studies in all aspects of dental technology, gaining experience in several different laboratories and private practices. He set up his own laboratory in 1981 as a dental technician, employing 12 people and supplying dentists across the country with precision dental appliances.
Les furthered his studies with a course in clinical dental technology, studying in Canada, Liechtenstein, Germany and the United Kingdom and achieved qualification as a Clinical Dental Technician in 2002. Only technicians with this qualification are permitted under General Dental Council rules to examine, take impressions and fit dentures. It is a strict condition that all practitioners are registered and appropriately insured.
In obtaining his qualification, Les completed a four year training program, consisting of many hours of intense training in: Oral facial anatomy, Prosthodontics Theory and clinical practice, oral pathology, infection control, geriontology, peridontology, microbiology, embryology, radiographic recognition, histology and biology.
After a further course of study with KSS Deneries he obtained a UK recognised diploma in clinical dental technology with the Royal College of Surgeons and was amongst the first recipients of this prestigious award in this country. Our patient comments consistently refer to Les’s care and attention to detail to give them the confidence to smile again.
